Understand before replacing
Existing systems contain product knowledge, even when their structure is imperfect. I map behavior and constraints before proposing broad change.
About Alessandro
I am a Computer Science graduate and Senior Unity Engineer based in Italy. I work best on products where the problem refuses to stay inside one subsystem—and where seniority means taking responsibility, not stepping away from implementation.
Professional perspective
I started in gameplay and game AI, then moved through commercial game production and enterprise R&D into independent engineering. The recurring lesson is that Unity work is rarely isolated: input shapes architecture, tools shape content velocity, services shape lifecycle, and platform limits shape user experience.
That is why I describe myself as a generalist. It does not mean applying the same solution everywhere. It means being able to find the real boundary of a problem and follow it far enough to deliver the outcome.
Solid Code Interactive is the independent practice through which I work with clients. Engagements are currently led and delivered directly by me, with room for the practice to grow into a broader technical studio over time.
Good ownership makes the next decision easier for the whole team—not only for the engineer who wrote the code.
How I work
Production engineering is a sequence of decisions under incomplete information. My process is designed to reduce uncertainty without stopping delivery.
Existing systems contain product knowledge, even when their structure is imperfect. I map behavior and constraints before proposing broad change.
Logs, diagnostics, profiling and explicit state reduce the cost of every future bug and architectural decision.
Working code matters first. Clear boundaries, documentation and tools make that code valuable after the immediate task is done.
Education
Università degli Studi di Milano. Thesis: development of a Microsoft HoloLens AR application for rehabilitation in hemispatial neglect.
Advanced graphics, real-time rendering, artificial intelligence and game development coursework at Università degli Studi di Milano.
Collaboration
I work remotely in Italian and English. My preferred engagements are senior, long-term collaborations where I can build context and own meaningful outcomes, while remaining open to focused rescue, porting and feature work.
Let’s compare context
A short email is enough to start. A detailed specification is not required.
